My Favorite D&D Class: Barbarian
The Barbarian
If you've ever wanted to crush an enemy and outlasting the odds in a combat scenario in Dungeons and Dragons, Barbarian is the class for you.
The Barbarian in Dungeons and Dragons allows you to rage, doing extra damage with each attack, also allowing you to reduce the damage you take in combat significantly. As a frontline warrior you will survive the hits far longer than any of your other party members, so try to take as many hits as you can, you are the party's tank! As a Barbarian, your anger fuels your health and damage, so the angrier you are, the more deadly you become on the battlefield. The first time I played as a Barbarian, I remember doing 20 damage to a singular creature, which in the game, is a very large amount of damage at the beginning of the game. Barbarians are largely melee fighters, so you get up close to the opponent and overpower them with your immense strength. The coolest part about the Barbarian is the ability to become so angry that you can stave off death from deathblows, by making saving throws for every attack that would normally kill you, you can save yourself from death multiple times and keep attacking, making Barbarians unstoppable monsters. If a Barbarian can become strong enough, they can perform inhuman acts of strength by breaking boulders, snapping chains, and throwing monsters larger than themselves over cliffs. At a certain point in the Barbarian class, you can choose what type of Barbarian to come, either continue the bloodthirsty rage route, becoming even stronger and unkillable, or introduce an element of randomness and explosive energy to the mix. As a Berserker Barbarian, you can attack more and more times and even resist magic during your rage because your anger takes over your mind. Or even better yet, wild magic can become a part of your rage. Every time you rage, a random magical effect happens, causing vines to sprout from the ground, or giving you a radiant beam from your chest, or potentially turning yourself into a cat. Whatever the wild magic may be, it's assured to be a fun time while fighting whatever giant monster you decided to attack. Barbarian is a simple class in D&D and allows you to have some fun roleplay moments in a game like D&D, when the Barbarian lands a critical hit, enabling them to hit a creature incredibly hard, as the Barbarian player bellows as they slay their foe, it truly makes for some memorable moments.
