 High Rollers D&D High Rollers D&D is a Dungeons and Dragons show hosted by the some in the UK every Sunday and is incredibly fun to watch. Mark Hulmes, the dungeon master of the group takes everyone into the gang's newest campaign Altheya: The Dragon Empire, where Dragon's rule the cities threats are many. I've wanted to recommend the High Rollers to a wider audience for a long time, because they really set the standard for Dungeons and Dragons in a way. I've seen their previous campaign Aerois all the way through, make sure to give the campaign a chance, just have a look at episode one, it's really good and honestly, an amazing story. Whenever they play, Mark does a very good job of planning game events, having meaningful dialogue with the players, and taking advantage of the idea of mystery if you ever get to watch Aerois.  Flaws in The Rise of Tiamat Campaign The book right after the Hoard of the Dragon Queen is The Rise of Tiamat, which ties up the loose ends of where the adventure left off and allows you to have an epic confrontation with the dragon goddess herself. But there is one problem, the story to get there seemed erratic and displaced, tons of events not making much sense, and that is what needs to be discussed. To begin The Rise of Tiamat the party is asked to head to the city of Waterdeep, supposed to be the largest city in the land, where the most rich and powerful nobles live to rule over the surrounding lands. The leaders of the world have asked the adventurers for their aid against the draconic threat due to their past quarrels with the cult. The council has scout who provide information about key figures in the dragon cult called wyrmspeakers, the ultimate figureheads of the cult, the ones who can supposedly control dragons.  My Thoughts on Hoard of the Dragon Queen Hoard of the Dragon Queen is the first ever Adventure Module created for Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition, and I have played through the adventure with my friends before, so I want to know: can it be better? Whenever you start your adventure in Hoard of the Dragon Queen, you are a band of mercenaries on your way to a town named Greenest in search of the man who hired you on a job. Upon arrival to the town of Greenest, there is screams and cries as you look into the air and see a giant blue dragon spitting crackling lightning and electrical energy down upon the guardsmen of the town, they look hopeless against the flying threat. This scene of horror is supposed to unite our heroes as they originally were just coworkers, now they are fighting for their lives against an enormous dragon!  The Barbarian If you've ever wanted to crush an enemy and outlasting the odds in a combat scenario in Dungeons and Dragons, Barbarian is the class for you.  The Barbarian in Dungeons and Dragons allows you to rage, doing extra damage with each attack, also allowing you to reduce the damage you take in combat significantly. As a frontline warrior you will survive the hits far longer than any of your other party members, so try to take as many hits as you can, you are the party's tank! As a Barbarian, your anger fuels your health and damage, so the angrier you are, the more deadly you become on the battlefield. The first time I played as a Barbarian, I remember doing 20 damage to a singular creature, which in the game, is a very large amount of damage at the beginning of the game. Barbarians are largely melee fighters, so you get up close to the opponent and overpower them with your immense strength.  Skylanders as a Fad The game of Skylanders introduced a new mechanic to the gaming industry: real world figurines compatible to in game characters. If you went to your local game stop or (at the time) Toys R Us, you could go inside and buy some Skylanders. When you went home you could put your Skylander on the portal and they would come to life on your tv, which was all the rage was at the time, figurines coming to life in game! Skylanders very quickly became collectables and that's how the Skylander's company was making their money, not from selling more copies upon copies, but instead selling a good number of copies, and everyone who bought copies bought tons of the Skylander figurines. There are two reasons I believe that Skylanders is a game that failed overall: it was a game without replay ability, and figurine concept unfortunately failed.  Is Replay Ability Good in Gaming? Recently, I've been asking myself the question, could replay ability be causing people to become addicted to video games?  The question comes from the comparison of board games to video games. In video games like Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild or Tears of the Kingdom, these are open world games with unlimited gameplay options. This has allowed people to play these games for thousands of hours due to how many possible combinations and ideas you can have about the game, and there is something to ask about the health of people playing these video games for so many hours. Now compare this to board games, for example, Catan. In the game of Catan you are trying to settle the new lands of the world, and there are many combinations of ways to play Catan, and you can replay as many times as you want with friends and family. The difference lies in the fact that Catan takes an hour to play, and then you are finished, while in the Zelda game, there ...

 My Experience at Muskingum University Game Club Hello everyone! Today I will be speaking about Muskingum University game club and how the time there has really been a game changer for me. I began my college experiences here at Muskingum University and I was in a foreign place in a foreign world for the first time. I did not know what to do with myself, but I decided after my first week here I would go on down to game club and try my luck with something new. At first glance it seemed very loud and obnoxious, something I wasn't quite used too for quite some time after I left home, but it felt almost at ease here, with the pressure off my back.
